Unscripted RP
Unscripted RP IMO is fkn awesome. A Good Officer that can sniff an RP opportunity I'll play that shit "the fk up". Thank you to the Officers addressing the "Dodgy Trucks".
Get pulled up for running a light, could be the dead body in the boot.
Speeding could be the body part that was severed off and in the esky that needs to be reattached not just a Pursuit. Use your imagination.

This kind of RP is FKD and I'll ban you myself https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cNl5-cCIiOg

This past Weekend we have tried to spice up the COPS, TAXI, and Airlines.
You get a TWT or TXT and go WTF, fkn have a go guy's.

Don't get stuck in the "I'll go farm some weed to grind some cash".
Take the TWT for who knows what job, take a risk, it's a game after all

I have had some exceptional RP from Taxi this weekend, who the fk would think you could have an experience being driven.

Now PD...... PD..... IMO

Current "Protocol" is costing the Quality of Ad-Hock RP.

An example was this weekend when we had PD go over a "scripted" negotiation, and when they fucked up our hostage was not "valuable" ??? Quote "We don't care about the hostage only the money"
I may have "in RP" been a little overboard with the cop (My Apology if you are reading this) but seriously, that was fkn terrible negotiation. Note I was not part of the Robbery I was on the Law Side.

Also 13 cops at a robbery is horse shit in my opinion, chances of success is incredibly low once it's over the required cops.
I hope the cops enjoy "nothing to do" when it stops happening.

IMO - PD Management need to "distribute the resources" and I have been vocal about it.
But it's up to the people to make the change. There are a lot of you Civs.

In conclusion @[Ramb0]'s post here https://www.ozzygaming.com.au/topic/5560-cops-and-the-robbery-systems-you-got/?tab=comments#comment-22194 - Civ's have the power to make a change
For example - OP response on bank robbery, a Civ Boycott on said bank until PD review techniques to fix it.

In saying the above - I also get the shits with CIV's using Protocol against PD
How the Fk does the average civ know the protocol inside out ? You just Fk'd the situation right there, don't quote the fkn Protocol to an Officer.

HUGE +1 literally been saying this to myself about all the cops showing up to a gas station robbery or even a bank robbery is a bit stupid i mean if theres 16 cops on have multiple robberies an option to spread some of the force out a bit so people actually have a chance at succeeding.

16 Cops showed up the Union depository robbery last night. 3-4 Robbers, Guess how many cops were left? not 16.

7 Cops were left (1 SRT member left), 2 robbers were left. Sometimes having the numbers over the robberies is helpful due to cops are trigger happy and want to get "that shot" for bragging rights.

----

Negotiations, some people are good at it, Some aren't. The only way to get better is to do it or listen in.

-----

60% Would RP a pullover, etc. 40% wouldn't they will end up in pursuit, suicide, gunfight or a friend will just alarm a bank to get the cops away.

"I hope the cops enjoy "nothing to do" when it stops happening." With your quote. We've always said that From Arma 3 days to FiveM, Civilians will always do something hostile towards the cops. Hopefully does but wait and see.

-----

Overall, this is not a strict RP server. I wish it was, would see a lot better RP situations.   All comes down to the community if they want a better experience on the server.

In all my experiences as hostage, I've never felt that my characters survival was the priority. About half of the robberies I've been hostage in, I got very little RP out of it and it seemed very clear that the Polices priority was the money.

An unrelated situation - a few days ago SRT open fired into a crowd of civilians, nobody seemed to have any idea what kicked this off. Civilians lives should be valued more than this and the Police should show restraint when innocent lives are on the line.

This isn't to say that all Police don't value civilian lives. Outside of bank robberies the majority of Police value civilian lives just fine. There's a lot of great Police in the city and it's not my intention to muddy their reputation. Many officers have gone above and beyond to help people (myself included) and generally my experience with Police is positive. However when there's a hostage, their life should always be the priority.

Agreed. If you can do a bank with 6 - 8 cops online, then there shouldn't be a priority cooldown for one when there's 16 cops in the city. With good management of resources 16 cops should be able to respond to 2 banks without issue (I understand this might not be the case against crews of 6 with carbine rifles) Perhaps a solution could be to reduce criminal crew size to 4 for non-union banks, keep it 6 for union, and put a limit on the number of Police that can respond to non-union banks. Let all the Police respond to union and keep that as something to load up and shoot each other over.

+1 maybe if not all 16 cops responded to one bank we would have more rp split up. We wouldn’t have the need for priority call downs when a robbery is conducted and there would be more than one thing going on like real life. I completely agree.

I like @SenselessEmu's suggestion. I think that with ~16 cops then we should be only taking ~half to a robbery and even allowing 2 to occur simultaneously. I've seen this done before and it worked out well - civs like it too.

However, I can think of multiple occasions whereby 6 very well armed robbers (carbine rifles, AP pistols, cocaine etc.) have taken down the entire force. It's worth noting that of the ~16 cops that may be on duty, you can have a large number of rookie officers.

I think we should be allowing 2 simultaneous robberies when we have 12 or more cops on, however, I think if we reduced the criminal group size from 6 to 4 (or even 5), then it would be a better compromise.

For example, make the:

  • maximum criminal group size: 5
  • cops required for a single robbery: 6
  • maximum amount of cops that can attend a single robbery: 8
  • cops required for 2 simultaneous robberies: 12
  • maximum amount of cops that can attend 2 simultaneous robberies: 16 (8 at each)

@Bendacatthoughts?

So any robbery will have 6 to 8 cops in attendance, and 2 can occur at the same time as long as 12+ cops are on duty.

+1 I really like the rp part with pulling over for passing through the red lights. With the robbery part I totally agree that two robberies should be able to happen at the same time. It helps spread everyone out and then allows more people get more opportunities to improve their rp especially on the cop side.

@J-Dub +1 Thanks for making a graphic! With the removal of cocaine armor, 5 crims vs 6 - 8 cops sounds like it would be pretty even.

  • Thanks 1
