  1. OzzyGaming May Update 3 Scripting Updates Alta Street Apartments The Alta Street apartment serves as the start of a slow rollout of our housing system. Currently, our property mainly consists of a single inventory shared between all characters. Not only that, but it is connected to every apartment and house you own. The Alta Street apartment, and future apartments under this new system have the following features: Unique inventories. These are not connected to any of your other characters, or other apartments/houses that you own Proper instancing. You will not have to run into invisible people or hear random voices in your own apartment Guest inventory access. You have the option to invite guests into your apartment, with the option of granting access to the property inventory. If any guests who have access to your property inventory withdraw/deposit any items, the owner gets notified Guest management. You have the option to force kick any guests you invite from your apartment Door bell system. As a guest, you can ring the door bell of any person in their apartment. Apartment owners have the option to toggle their doorbell on or off if they do not wish to be disturbed. Rates. Particularly for Alta Street being a higher end apartment, these apartments/houses will have rates that are withdrawn from the property rates account weekly. Apartment owners have the option to deposit as much money into their rates account as they like, but these funds cannot be withdrawn. If the rates account is empty, and rates are attempted to be taken from the account, the apartment will be automatically sold. However, the inventory remains for when the apartment is re-bought Proper Police raiding. The current system relies on a criminal to invite Police up to their apartment. However, this system allows police with a warrant to force their way into an apartment. If they do this, the owner is notified. Additionally, the owner is notified of any item taken from storage. The player must be online for this to occur. Eventually, this system will replace the current system. However, we will do our best to make sure that you're all updated of changes going forward. Currently, the focus is improving performance with our assets, most notably with vehicles, as these are causing most of our issues. So the team has been hard at work at this. Moreover, we're committing a lot of time towards providing content updates, most of which has been visible on the server. However, more specific information can be found below. Scripting Updates Third Eye The third eye script is a new interaction function that will be used going forward as the primary interaction method (no more walking up to things and pressing E, woohoo!) Currently, only ATMS are accessible through this interaction method. However, we plan on converting all interaction functions to this method. Developers involved with this project: Boss. Paleto Bank Robbery The Paleto Bank robbery is a new addition to the bank progression line. Although this is a more minor bank, items obtained here are used to access content further down the bank progression line. This bank robbery utilities the above mentioned third eye script, and because of the location, accessing the vault takes a bit longer than other banks. Developers involved with this project: Boss and Namula Art by: Aspex Bobcat Robbery The bobcat robbery is the next stage in the bank progression line. Players and organizations should be on the lookout for new items in existing/available bank drops. Compared to other banks, this robbery operates slightly differently and players should pay special attention to exploring the entire building in its entirety as there are clues to upcoming content. Developers involved in this project: Boss, Namula, and John Doe. Art by: Aspex Radios Radios have been implemented in the server and are currently being tested with the Police force, so far, they are looking very promising. These will be handed out to the EMS department, and then to organizations. Some limited access will be figured out for regular civilians. However, we're still exploring options there. Developers involved in this project: Boss. Art by: Aspex Door Lock Script Our previous door lock script was far from perfect. However, we've decided to upgrade this script, which now includes many more features, improved performance, and arguably a nicer look. Developers involved in this project: Boss. Cafe Uwu Cafe Uwu is a brand new business which will, with Bean Machine, be replacing Cafe Redemption. With this addition, the cafe will include a unique line of food and drink products. Moreover, this business has a line of collectable items that include two rare items. This range will be expanded on in the future. Developers involved in this project: Boss and Namula Art by: Aspex Bean Machine Bean Machine is the second business that will be replacing Cafe Redemption, not unlike Cafe Uwu, it includes its own unique line of food and drink products, but also a range of collectable items that will be expanded on in the future. Developers involved in this project: Boss and Namula Art by: Aspex Arcade The Arcade is a new business that will be developed to eventually include arcade games. However, a notable item that is sold at this business is an energy drink. Players are encouraged to go and purchase to experience the effects of this new item. However, in a nutshell, these items boost the running speed of a player for a short period of time. Additionally, the Arcade will be managing some upcoming fun activities. Currently, Laser Tag is the only game managed by the Arcade. If players wish to partake in this, they should stop by the arcade and request some time in the Laser Tag arena. More game modes will be added in due time. Developers involved in this project: Boss and Namula Art by: Aspex Casino The casino is a hidden gem in the city, with a security code to get in you have to be in the know to take seat! Developers involved in this project: Aspex Hair Styles A whole range of male and female hairstyles have been added, players can explore these and create new outfits accordingly Developers involved in this project: Aspex Female Face Textures Female faces have been updated to remove some of the more annoying skin wrinkles and imperfections that make plenty of particular face and skin tones unusable in the past. This is a bit of an urban myth. /clear simply clears the chat of all messages, this may improve the smoothness of the chat UI (note, none of the other user interfaces will be "sped u'p" by doing this). /vsync just re-syncs your client to the external mumble voip server and plays no part in performance/smoothness
  3. Hello everyone, since it has been a while since the last change log, I will include updates that have been implemented before a formal server update. As always, if you find a bug/exploit. Feel free to report it in our bug report section. As many of you may know, September/October/November/December are quite busy months for those among the staff and development team. From end of year assessments to examinations and of course all of those holidays. During these times, we ask that you are patient with server updates as we may not be running at full capacity. Script Additions Automated boat shop. Currently, there is only one. However, depending on the popularity of boats as a whole, coupled with how many are sold over a period of time, management may consider player run businesses   Boat garages/impounds have been placed around the map for boat owners. These work a little differently to car garages/impounds in the sense that you won't have to swim around looking for the spawn points. The spawn points will be on dry land, and will spawn your vehicle with an offset that is in the water. Police and EMS that are on duty will now have access to their civilian boats. However, their respective department boats will be available to take out.   Anchors have been re-added. simply press "." (when standing in/near the boat, rather than actively driving the boat)   Turtle poaching has made a return. Simply purchase a sturdy fishing rod from the hardware store and proceed the the marked turtle poaching locations. Although this isn't a formal job, turtle poaching does utilise an EXP system. Based on your level, you will catch varying sized turtles. Since poaching is an illegal act, you will need to locate the turtle buyer in roleplay... And of course, watch out for the police.   New fishing job. This will be replacing the current default fishing job. Players can fish from any location on the map that has water. However, we encourage players to fish in areas that make sense. Players also have the option of fishing at prime fishing locations. In these areas, certain fish are available. When not fishing in a prime location, the only fish that can be caught is a generic fish which is not worth a lot. Since fishing is considered a formal job, an EXP system has been implemented. Depending on your fishing level, you have a chance to catch larger fish. The sizes range from small to extra large. When selling fish, players need only look for a green hook in the city and travel to that location.   New holdup system. Players can now search a victim that either has their hands up, or is restrained. However, instead of instantly being able to open their inventory, an animation will play on the source player with a progress bar which is cancelable. It should also be noted that this can only be done with a firearm.   Organ harvesting. Players can now buy a scalpel from Mount. Gordo for a moderate price. Once in a players possession, a victim can have their organs harvested if they are restrained. The source player will play a short animation locked behind a progress bar that is cancelable. Once the progress bar is finished, the organ will be harvested and placed into the harvesters inventory. Players have three organs that are harvestable, the kidney, spleen, and lung. It should be noted that the victim must receive medical attention (by checking into the hospital, or seeing a doctor), otherwise they will die 20 minutes after their organs have been harvested. Effects will be played on the camera of the victims screen until they receive medical attention. Organs can be sold. However, you will need to figure out where in roleplay.   Cafe Redemption has been added. This new business sells a wide range of cafe goods, including notable cafe food and drinks. They also have a special type of coffee that may be beneficial... Stop by and check out their menu!   Rapid Repossessions has been formally opened. This is a player run impound/towing business. If you have parked your car illegally, or have abandoned your vehicle, you can expect to have it towed. If your vehicle has been towed by this company, your vehicle will show up in your garage as being "held at rapid repo". Moreover, you will receive a notification that your vehicle has been towed. In order to have your vehicle returned, you will need to visit rapid repo and speak to an employee to discuss a towing fee. Although this is a business, they have to follow a few new strict server rules to avoid any foul play.   BZGAS launcher. SRT members will now have access to this weapon. If you wish to know further information in terms of what rank it is unlock-able at, please keep an eye out for police protocol changes.   Help/controls/rules command to assist new players with a well designed UI.   Various weapon icons that did not exist.   Lawyers and Judges have been added to the job system.   Completely new custom towing system that is much better than the prior one. Simply type /tow or /untow when a vehicle is close to a tow truck. Script Modifications Treasure hunting has been overhauled. Hunters will now be assigned a different region of the map based on their level. This should greatly decrease the travel time from getting to point a to point b. All locations will now have objects at the bottom of the ocean to help easily identify the spot.   Dispensing ammunition from the ammo container will now play a more realistic animation, this animation is locked in a progress bar which will take 5 seconds to complete. However, it is cancelable.   When typing messages in the phone, typing a number will no longer activate items in the hotbar.   The hands up hotkey now does not require a sustained button press. Simply tap it to put your hands up, and tap it again to put them down.   All jobs that utilise the EXP system now give double EXP if you hold the actual job (rather than just using trucking tools without the job).   Diving suits now lock you in a 30 second animation before actually applying the diving suit (we can all thank the bank robbers who jump into the water with a large bag of cash - more updates on mitigation for this soon).   Bumps and body armour now take 6 seconds to use. They are both locked behind an animation and progress bar that is cancelable.   The bean bag shotgun has been re-added. However, it now has reduced range.   The heavy pistol has been nerfed against targets with body armour. When shooting someone in the torso with body armour, it is a two shot kill. If the target does not have body armour, it is a one shot kill. All headshots with this weapon is still a one shot kill.   When in zipties or handcuffs, players can now move their camera around.   Players can now drag any dead person.   Players can no longer self revive at hospitals.   The garage system now has a filter field that should make it easier for players with a lot of vehicles to quickly find the vehicle they are looking for. You can search by the plate or model.   Vehicle indicators have been rebound to the arrow keys, and the hazard lights are now backspace.   The inventory has receive a slight face lift. Areas that were not well defined and hard to see are now a lot more defined and should make it easier to drag items around.   Tidied up the "red circles". They are now much more clean and out of the way in each clothing store. Also, they aren't red anymore...   Police CAD now has a timestamp on each row in the calls section.   The principal bank robbery has been re-enabled. Game Assets Mount Zonah Hospital has been added.   Rapid Repo Repossessions building has been added at La Mesa.   Sandy Shores Hospital has been replaced with a better interior.   Paleto Hospital has been replaced with a better interior.   Paleto PD has a new interior.   MRPD has a new interior.   The henhouse has a new interior. Fixed Knocking people out whilst tackling is no longer possible.   Knocking people out and tackling whilst being tazed is no longer possible.   Knocking out and tackling people inside vehicles is no longer possible.   Cuffing/knocking people out whilst tazed, tackled, or knocked out is no longer possible.   Dragging people and entering vehicles is no longer possible.   Tackling dead people is no longer possible.   Tackling/knocking people out whilst dead is no longer possible.   Spamming X, P and B will no longer allow you to move around whilst dead.   Ziptying will no longer bug out the target player (hopefully).   Using emotes in vehicles is now no longer possible.   Zipties will now only be consumed if the target is successfully restrained.   + a heap of other changes that weren't logged.   5. Welcome to the long version of the 2.4 update change-log. Before I dive into the changes, I'd like to thank @Delexicalfor his contribution to our project. He may not have been with us for too long. However, he still devoted a reasonable amount of time to the development of our FiveM server. With that being said, I would just like to re-iterate that all of our game developers, may they be scripters, map developers, or vehicle developers are volunteers. They are not paid for their contribution to our community due to FiveM community restrictions, so please send some praise their way if you enjoy their work, it definitely boosts motivation. Numerous optimisations for all scripts Major updates have been made to how many scripts operate to reduce the load on the server and the client. This may not be very apparent due to strange GTA 5 bottle-necking during normal play, but should result in a smoother gaming experience and much fewer frame drops or hiccups. It will also be more obvious in situations where your client is under a lot of extra load. Numerous map objects have been replaced (see list further down) to remove the less optimised current objects, this should reduce the texture loss issues around certain locations too. Player Action Menu Update (Tilde menu) The player action menu has received a functional and cosmetic update. In future updates, we plan on moving all job functions that were previously available in the list menus to this menu, this should hopefully make things more user friendly. For this update, Police, EMS, and Mechanics have had their list menu functions largely ported over. We have also added functions that have been requested many times. This should hopefully aid in managing prisoners and people who are incapacitated. We have also added two ways of opening the menu, first, simply pressing the tilde key will open the root menu. Secondly, if you hold the tilde key for one second, it will skip the root menu and open the job actions (for more user friendly access). Below is a list of what has been added (please note that these actions will be in their respective categories in the menu itself): Force player into a vehicle (if restrained) Force player out of a vehicle (if restrained) Force player into the boot (if restrained) Force player out of the boot (if restrained) Drag player (if restrained) Unflip vehicle Check ID (Police/EMS only) Search a player (Police only) Ticket a player (Police only) Manage a players licenses (Police only) Open the corrections menu (Police only) Impound vehicle (Police and Mechanics only) Seize vehicle (Police only) Open medical records (EMS only) Clean Vehicle (Mechanic only) Send a bill (Mechanic only). New Emergency Light System The current emergency light system is being replaced. We are now going to be utilising a simpler and more optimised version of emergency lights as GTA 5 intended them to be used. As it currently stands, having more than three emergency services vehicles in one area causes massive frame loss, hence why we have decided to make the change. With this update, we have had to find replacement vehicles for our fleet. Some models will remain the same. However, other models had to be removed due to their incompatibility with our new system. Rest assured a lot of the classics remain, and a few fun new vehicles have been added. Each department will release updated vehicle documentation concerning the details of the new fleet. Police CAD Updates The Police CAD has received a moderate update to how it operates. As we've been creating, modifying, and fixing related CAD/Police functions, we have decided to move a lot of content over to the CAD itself. Below is a shortlist of new and ported features: Priority cooldown has been entirely redone and is now controlled with various buttons Backup codes are now exclusively controlled with various buttons High priority backup codes will now automatically be added as a call, subsequent updates to location should utilise the "Update location" button instead of a new call for backup (to avoid duplicates) A simple wanted list had been added as a new CAD page. When looking up a civilian, you may add them to the wanted list. If a player is wanted, and their ID is searched by an officer, they will be prompted with noticeable red text on their profile that they are wanted. Officers can view everybody on the wanted list in the new wanted list tab Officers can now add and remove criminal records remotely When looking up a vehicle number plate, officers will be prompted if that particular vehicle has been reported stolen (more on this in the vehicle update section) A new notification system has been added for the CAD to utilise, this should be clean and easy to see. Further Police Updates We have also ported the functionality of some menu action to items. Below is a list of actions that are now handled with items. In some instances, this can be handy as the hot bar will offer a hotkey for actions that otherwise had to be navigated to via the tilde menu. Handcuffs Lockpick Body armour (Wasn't previously in a menu. However, I'll pop this in here anyway). Departments actions are now available depending on your respective department levels, these values are now stored in our database. Department commanders, police cabinet, and staff members have permission to set these in-game with the following command: /setpd [playerid] [department] [department grade]. For example /setpd 244 hwp 4. The ALPR has also been updated. We're now using a modified version of the Wraith ARS. This system is pretty awesome, and has extensive player documentation as to how to operate the functions. Press f5 in-game to open it, the documentation can be found in the interface. EMS Updates EMS have had rather minor updates. With the migration of list menu actions to the tilde menu, we have also made certain items usable rather than having to navigate the menu at all. Below is a list of new usable items (all of these items are used on a target, not the source player): Medkit Bandage Painkillers Splint Medical Restraints. Mechanic Updates Similarly to the Police and EMS updates, In addition to the menu items migrated to the tilde menu, Mechanics now have a few items available in their shops that they can acquire through an item dispenser. If you are a mechanic, you cannot miss this in your respective shop as it is marked with a circle. These items are non-consumable and can be used in, and outside of a vehicle. I would recommend using them inside of the vehicle as Onesync is quite unreliable when manipulating a vehicle from the outside. The following items can be found in the item dispensary: Lockpick Repair kit Gasoline canister. Vehicle Garage Updates We have re-created the vehicle garage system. This was done largely due to the limitations of the previous menu itself and the amount of vehicles that are constantly left out. The changes are as follow: New custom built UI UI type will change depending on the garage location No limits on how many vehicles you can have in your garage When taking a vehicle out of your garage, it will be marked as "active in the world". The vehicle won't be retrievable unless it is returned to the garage If your vehicle is stolen, you can go back to the garage and report it stolen. If a police officer or mechanic impound it, this will return it to the garage If your vehicle has been reported stolen, and an officer looks the plate up on the Police CAD, it will notify them that the vehicle is stolen If the police impound a vehicle that has not been reported stolen, that vehicle will go to the impound Active and stolen vehicles will return to your garage when the server restarts. Impound cost has been increased to $2,000 Repair at garage has been increased to $1,500 Further Vehicle Updates In an attempt to keep the map clear burnt vehicle carcasses and such, all undriveable vehicles will be deleted automatically. This usually means water damaged vehicles and burnt vehicles. This is largely a test to see how well the script does in tracking and handling these vehicles, so it remains to be seen whether or not this change will stay. We have also added some cool new particle effects to the car wash. New Y Menu We have added a new Y menu. This menu deals with clothing, assessors, and hair. There isn't a whole lot to explain here, but I can tell you that is is pretty awesome. If you have a certain type of long hair, this script allows you to tie up your hair, or let it loose. You can also take any piece of clothing off and put it back on at your leisure (it isn't buggy like the current system as it detects what clothing you have on when you toggle an item rather than going off your database clothing values). There is much to explore here, but I'll let you guys come across this. Business Updates Due to how incredibly trash the default business management scripts are for normal ESX servers, we've decided to scrap the lot. Or, rather, disable it temporarily. In its place, there will be a few commands to be use whilst our new UI is created for business owners. Development has already begun on this, and if you are lucky, you might be able to catch @Ryan King developing this live on his twitch channel (Check him out here). The following new commands are: /bwithdraw [amount] (withdraw from business account) /bdeposit [amount] (deposit into business account). Previous commands have been released in older versions of our server and are still available for business owners to use. Further, in the realm of business, we're proud to announce the opening of a new mechanic business, Los Santos Customs! This new business will be replacing Outlaw Garage, and will be lead by @soleKEFS, if you're interested in keeping up with this business and just some great roleplay in general, consider checking out his twitch channel! (Check him out here). Organisation Updates Not much to report here that most of you probably already know. However, we've introduced two new organisations, the outcasts, and the brothers. On update, they will have access to their nifty organisation HQ's. We won't tell you where they are, but if you are lucky (or unlucky?) enough to see them, they are pretty cool. Inventory Updates The inventory has received a small functional and cosmetic update. Instead of the ugly box that displays what job you have, it now will display your job neatly underneath your character name in a spot that makes more sense. Additionally, we have decided to add 9 hot bar slots. We also noticed that the hot bar was quite a lot larger than it needed to be, so we've scaled down the size. Those of you with high screen resolutions should still be able to see the hot bar just fine. The style of the UI has slightly changed too. Instead of dragging items into invisible item slots, these slots are now well defined and easy to locate. Also, when using an item it will automatically close the UI. Loading Screen Updates The loading screen has received a bit of a make over. We've added new songs, new screenshots, new quotes, and a new style. We have also re-added our custom steam information (to my knowledge, there isn't a server today that operates with the same functionality #custom). if any of you have any quote suggestions, screen shot submissions, or song requests, please contact @Zaydan. Player Spawn Updates The spawn camera has been replaced. We've added something a little different that I am sure a few of you will appreciate. It can be quite annoying watching the same old sky camera. We've also seemingly fixed the issue with players constantly spawning under that map. We have also added back a modified version of our anti combat logging script. If a player logs out whilst dead, they will spawn in and have their inventory automatically wiped, and a harsher death tax applied. However, they will not be killed, and any prior situations must be treated as if a respawn had occurred. The ability for staff members to mute troublesome/toxic players in OOC. Pacific bank robberies now have diamond/gold bars to steal. These two items can be crafted together at the refinery to make jewelry. Jewelry can be sold to the Jewelry store for a larger profit. Modified: The treasure hunting job is now available at the job centre and now provides helpful items to easily complete the job. Trucking now conforms to the new job structure that Landscaping and Treasure Hunting provides. Players can now either work casually and retain their previous job (forfeiting the paycheck every 10 minutes trucking provides), or become a trucker full time by selecting the job at the job centre.
